The new camera takes good close ups. I went back to Wolf Rock to take the picture I couldn't before. There was sun when I got there, but it started to rain just after I left.

There were three men and a wet dog on the Nipmuck trail bridge. I took the left after the bridge onto the overgrown trail, and it opened up again. A snake stayed so still I wondered if it was dead, run over by a bicycle. I seemed to flare out the sides of its neck before it slid off back and forth against the grass and young tree stems. There is another bridge farther along. I looped back on the alternate trail. The light faded and the path narrowed and I pushed my way through.
